Have you ever stopped and asked yourself the question, “Why are my prayers not being answered?” Have you ever said to yourself, “I need to start praying more?” What about saying, “I am going to get up an hour early so that I can have prayer time, just me and the Lord.” These are questions that we all have asked or will at some time ask. We know that prayer is essential for the believer. We understand that prayer changes things, it changes situations, it will even change you if you allow it to. We see that prayer is the channel of communication between the Beliver and God whereby God’s power is released in the earth realm through the combination of the Believers FAITH and the Word of GOD. God answers prayer when prayer is done in the order in which he estabilished.

We understand that if God answers prayer, and he has the best in store for us, why it is so difficult to do? Well, the answer is simple. The enemy comes to rob steal and destroy, so therein lies the reason for all of the barriers. The enemy knows that if he can trick you into being tired, or running late, he can stop the flow of God in your life. This will often take place because when we do not see results, we will skip a day, a week, and then even a month. Decide today that just like we have conversations with everyone else, we need to have a conversation with our heavenly father everyday, in fact several times throughout the day. Declare that you will see results. In fact, when you pray, believe it, and begin to act as though what you prayed for is your now!

Our reading today speaks about several blockers that will hinder us from getting God’s Best in our lives.

  • Unbelief will block the prayer every time.
  • Selfishness Remember, it is not just about you and what you want or what you need.
  • Retaliation These prayers are wasted words. Please do not spend time praying for someone to “get theirs”
  • Unforgiveness and fatigue are just a few.

We must remove all barriers to prayer because prayer works. Prayer Works. Spend a few minutes now praying, repent for what you know he is not pleased with, thanking Him for another chance to get it right. Pray for youself, your family, your Pastor and first family, and your church. He will perfect all that concerns YOU!
