Bishop-Designate Kermitt L. Williams was born the third of nine children, in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina.  Along with his mother and the rest of his siblings, he migrated to Brooklyn, New York in 1959.   He attended Thomas Jefferson High School (January ’62), Fairleigh Dickenson University (June ’68), the Manhattan Bible Institute (May ’71) and AGM Seminary Alliance, Honorary Doctorate (May’16).  He was called to pastor Gethsemane Baptist Church, Brooklyn, NY in May of 1971 where he served for 10 years.  In 1987, he founded the Community Orientations for Positive Encouragement for Parents of Addicted Children (C.O.P.E.P.A.C.), which continues to be a bridge which addresses communication between substance abusers and their family members.  He also received credentialing in substance abuse counseling (CASAC) in 1999.

In September 1992, he organized the Agape Fellowship for All People and currently serves as Senior Pastor/Bishop-Designate.  In 1994, he was consecrated General Overseer of Social Action of the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship, Bishop Joseph Walker III, Presiding Bishop, Bishop Paul S. Morton Sr., Founder.  He was submitted in covering to the late Bishop Eddie L. Long, Senior Pastor, New Birth Missionary Baptist Church, Lithonia, GA. and is formerly a member of “The Father’s House”. Currently, he’s a member of the inner circle of Faith Life Now where Pastors Gary and Drenda Keesee, Co-Founders, New Albany, Ohio. In April 2016, in a service where Dr. Bill Winston, Living Word Christian Ctr, Forest Park, IL., was ministering he received the prophetic pronouncement by Pastor Keesee and others the assignment, “to set the table for the ushering in of the Kingdom of God in NY.He currently services as an active member of the Pilgrim Assemblies International, Archbishop William Hudson III, Chief Prelate, the late Archbishop Roy E. Brown, Founder, and has been appointed a bishop-designate by Archbishop Hudson to be consecrated in the next live consecration.

Over the past five decades, his involvement and impact as a community activist for positive change is well documented.  In a continuing commitment to community development, he has served at the pleasure of the Brooklyn Borough President as a member of Community Planning Boards 16 (Brownsville) and 4 (Bushwick).  He also serves as the Executive Director/CEO of Kingdom Faith Developers, a consultant for the National Head Start Association, a member of the National Association of Christian Counselors

He is married to Brooklyn native Eugenia Bailey-Williams and together they have three children: Kenton, Apryl, Kendal and one grandson: Seth.
